Dear Radiofriends,

I've here one picture of a Stromberg 654.

This picture is genuine. It was taken from an 1930 advertisement.

There are two differences from the model presented here in Rmorg.

The dial scale is shorter and the tube series is not the same (3x UY224; UY227;UX245; UX280).

I hope You gentleman can help me  to clarify this discrepancy.

Best Regards

Mário Coelho

Hello,
the set shown in RMorg has a tuning dial which is not the original one, taken from a later radio.
Tubes are similar or replacement.
This radio was sold also in Italy in 1929.

Dear Alessandro,

Before further conversation I want to whish You a Happy Birthday.

Now, thank You for your prompt reply.

Following your explanation I conclude that this picture must be also uploaded to Rmorg to show how the original dial was look like. Do You agree?

About the tube series:

Which ones are the original tube series?

May I also conclude that the tube series described in this Model Page are not the original series but similar or equivalent ?

If so, that data might  be changed. Do You agree?

Best Regards

Mário Coelho

Hello, and thanks for your wishes.
Picture should be uploaded since the existing photo is displaying a model which isn't original.
Tube list is almost the same but could be changed if you want to be more precise :-)
