Short Description
It was a monthly magazine with paid subscriptions, which was also sold by bookstores and newsagents. 3. The language was Dutch and it was widely read in the Netherlands and Belgium - besides Dutch-, Afrikaans-, and Flemish-speaking communities abroad (Indonesia, Suriname, South Africa). 4. Radio Bulletin was published from 1930 to 2003. The original publisher stopped in 1998. For a few years, the magazine was continued under a slightly different name (Radio Bulletin Elektronica) by Bureau Belper, a broker (house-agent) firm. For financial reasons, it was difficult to keep the publishing activities going, and in 2003 Bureau Belper stopped with magazine publishing. The original publisher went bankrupt in 2002. Fortunately, their huge library was saved and transferred to the Netherlands Association for the History of Radio (NVHR). There is currently no firm claiming the copyright of old issues of Radio Bulletin, although Bureau Belper may claim the copyright for issues published between 1999 and 2003 (they do not claim it on their website).
