| Description | Textauszug aus bad-grosspertholz.at 11/2011:
Das Museum geht auf die Initiative des Altbürgermeisters und bekannten waldviertler Heimatdichters und Heimatforschers Josef Koppensteiner zurück, der es während seiner Amtszeit in einem eigens dafür geschaffenen Raum im zweiten Stockwerk des Gemeindehauses unterbrachte und selbst die Hauptlast des Sammelns trug. Nach dem Ausbau entsprechender Räumlichkeiten im Gemeindeamt und einer Vermehrung der Objekte wurde das Museum am 30. Juni 1979 durch Landeshauptmann Maurer und Landesrat Grünzweig eröffnet. Objektbestand: Bäuerliche Arbeits- und Haushaltsgeräte, Rechtsaltertümer, Lokalgeschichte, Glas, religiöse Volkskunst, Geologie - Flora - Fauna des Gebietes, Flachsverarbeitung und größte Flechtensammlung Österreichs. |
