The Museum of Radio, Wireless and Telecommunications was founded in 1995 by private collector and radio amateur Charalambos Makris.

For 20 years Mr. Charalambos Makris has been collecting, repairing and maintaining the museum's exhibits and will always guide the visitors and impart unique information - knowledge. This is why schools are often visited that enjoy a full, educational presentation.

The Museum has two sections:
1. Old radios and telephones
2. Wireless and telecommunication receivers

Since the beginning of the 20th century, about 90 collector radios and more than 270 desktop radios, tape recorders, pickups, 30 civilian and military wireless, 12 receivers, CB, old broadcast and reception lamps, telephone sets and telephones have been exhibited. as well as photographic material. All exhibits are in excellent condition and the visitor can operate them.

In the Argostoli radio collection at Kefalonia you will see one of the very few ELVIRA (ΕΛΒΙΡΑ) radios that where produced prewar here in Greece..

The Radio Museum also operates an amateur radio station with the call feature sv8xw & C.B. KF 244.

Το Μουσείο Ραδιοφώνου, Ασυρμάτου και Τηλεπικοινωνιακού Υλικού, ιδρύθηκε το 1995 από τον ιδιώτη συλλέκτη και ραδιοερασιτέχνη Χαράλαμπο Μακρή.

Εδώ και 20 χρόνια ο κος Χαράλαμπος Μακρής συλλέγει, επιδιορθώνει και συντηρεί τα εκθέματα του μουσείου και πάντα ακούραστος με καλή διάθεση θα ξεναγήσει τους επισκέπτες και θα τους μεταδώσει μοναδικές πληροφορίες – γνώσεις. Γι’ αυτό το επισκέπτονται συχνά σχολεία που απολαμβάνουν μια πλήρη, εκπαιδευτικού χαρακτήρα παρουσίαση.

Το Μουσείο έχει δυο ενότητες :
1.   Παλαιά ραδιόφωνα και τηλέφωνα
2.  Ασύρματους και τηλεπικοινωνιακούς δέκτες

Εκτίθενται γραμμόφωνα από τις αρχές του 20ού αιώνα, 90 περίπου συλλεκτικά ραδιόφωνα και περισσότερα από 270 επιτραπέζια ραδιόφωνα,  μαγνητόφωνα, Πικ-απ,  30 πολιτικούς και στρατιωτικούς ασύρματους, 12 δέκτες, C.B., παλαιές λυχνίες εκπομπής-λήψης, τηλεφωνικές συσκευές και τηλεφωνικά κέντρα παλαιάς εποχής  καθώς και φωτογραφικό υλικό. Όλα τα εκθέματα βρίσκονται σε άριστη κατάσταση και μπορεί ο επισκέπτης να τα λειτουργήσει.

Επίσης στο Μουσείο Ραδιοφώνου λειτουργεί ράδιο-ερασιτεχνικός σταθμός ασυρμάτου με το χαρακτηριστικό κλήσεως sv8xw & C.B. KF 244.
