  • Wireless set No.58 (Canadian) Mk I: short range infantry manpack transceiver covering 6 - 9 MHz, AM (A3), pout 0.3 Watt; powered by battle battery with HT 180/90 V and LT 1,5 V and GB 20 V or vibrator power unit SC-999-F powered by 2 V accumulator. Telescopic aerial, 6 or 12 foot rod aerial or 25 ft ground aerial.

    Used by Canadian Army for short range communications between paratroops and infantry patrols.

    Suffix T indicates the set is tropicalised.

    The set is a Canadian developement to replace British Wireless Set No.18, it has not been generelly adopted by the British Army.
