This model is similar to the 2151A, main difference being the use of silicon transistors in the low power stages.
This portable could be used as a car radio, by inserting it into an under dash cradle, powered or unpowered. When using the car speaker (via a powered cradle), the maximum undistorted audio power is increased to one watt.
The powered cradle could be installed in either positive or negative chassis vehicles.
Weight includes batteries (Eveready type 2582).
