  • This instrument is intended primarily for the calibration of an oscillator by beating it with the fundamental or harmonic of a second calibrated oscillator or the internal crystal oscillator.  Two internal crystals can be used; 2 and 5 MHz.  An external crystal can be used.  The useable range of the calibrator is from approximately 200 kHz to 300 MHz.

    This model differs from the otherwise similar 7A8407 in the following ways:

    Defence Services nameplate.

    Amphenol type 93C connectors for the Army and Navy or HMV type D4020A connectors for the Air Force..

    600 Ω output impedance.

    Khaki green painted finish for the Army, grey for the Navy and Air Force.
