  • This radio was made for the United States Army Air Force in 1945. It is a variant of the C-17020 that was used by the Australian army as a morale (amenities) receiver. Primarily used for entertainment, this radio boasts a shortwave band as well as the standard broadcast band. The 6 inch electrodynamic speaker provides substantial audio with very pleasing fidelity. The main difference between the U.S.A.A.F. version and the Australian version is the power supply. The Australian version had a 6 volt DC vibrator supply and the U.S.A.A.F. version operated on 110 Volts AC.
