    The AG20 was a prototype model, only a few were ever completed due to the high production costs, the project was abandoned and the remaining units sold off to staff.
    The unit could be powered by a separate power supply, there is/was a switch on the side that you could select internal/external power. In the EXT mode the power supply would not only power the recorder but also charge up the Nicad battery pack.
