  • A miniature encapsulated three transistor amplifier designed to replace carbon microphones by high speech quality magnetic and noise cancelling units. The amplifier weighs about ⅔ oz, has a voltage gain of 50dB, contains a surge limiting diode and an output control. It is designed for mounting in hand microphones, in the handles of telephone handsets and in aircraft radio transmitters (with full Ministry of Aviation type approval), particularly those of American manufacture. The power is obtained from the polarizing voltage existing in the equipment.
