  • The UN-47 is part of a superheterodyne which only exists of the antenna, oscillator and mixer stages, plus the first m.f. coil. The UN-47 functions as an early type of (wired) Remote Control to distance tune a normal superhet receiver. The 736 (see the first diagram) is a coil-block for LW, MW and SW reception. The superhet receiver showed in the first picture also contains the 736 coil-block.

    In the diagram one can see a second single m.f. coil which is connected to the m.f. coil in the superhet receiver. This second coil, 2 capacitors and a "normal/remote" function switch is built in the superhet receiver. The diagrams and pictures of this model will make clear how the UN-47 is working.
