  • Remarques
  • The one stage audio amplifier came after the two stage AK audio amplifiers. The unit was assigned the part number 4030 by Atwater Kent. The one-stage unit consisted of an audio transformer insulated from the metal case with a sheet of phenolic and encased in a tar-like substance. The filament was controlled by a 2 ohm rheostat. there were three different variations of this amplifier. The first version used a 2-Stage tag with the 2 painted over with black paint. The second version had the 2 milled off and a 1 stamped in it's place. The last version had a 1-Stage id tag like the 2-Stage amp with the 1 raised up. This part was sold to hobbyists who wanted another stage of audio amplification. It was never used in a AK production radio.
