  • Notes
  • The Atwater-Kent model 310 and 510 (modern form) share the same schematic and chassis number 10. This model 510 cabinet has a modern form compared to model 310 as Lowboy on 6 short legs. According to "Slusser", the mentioned models are from 1933. The chassis 10 uses a low IF of 130 kc with the 10 tubes as RF, 1st Det, Osc, IF, 2nd Det, AVC, 1st AF, 2 x 2A5 push-pull 2nd AF and power rectifier. For being able to tune in stations well, the model uses a "shadow tuning indicator" or "shadow indicator" (often called Shadowgraph as principle or brand) of 1300 ohms over 6000 ohms (10 volts). Other AK models in the same year, 707 and 808A use 1200 ohms. Some patents listed for chassis 10 are: 1014002; 1583071; 1668117; 1668320; 1726100; and 1751854.
