The Tutorette 810 is an audiocard reader used as a visual and auditory learning tool. It was used in education during the 1970's and 1980's for teaching reading, math and other language skills such as ESL (English as a Second Language).
Students would insert an audiocard into the reader, observe the visual given, listen and then respond through the Tutorette recording system – “hear – read – feel - record.” Tutorette programs existed for basic reading, ESL, spelling, math or to create your own instruction using blank cards.
The unit has a jack for a microphone and headphones.
