  • The Aud-I-Tone was made in Japan by Aimor.  It is a folding clock-radio designed into a travel case.  The clock is mechanical, key-wound, but can be set to turn on the radio at a pre-set time. The case has a front felt-lined compartment for rings, coins, etc.  Two UM-3A batteries are specified. The battery cover is metal although the radio section is mostly plastic. The clock is brass metal.  The "perpetual" calendar is made of heavy paper. One can manually select the month with a top lever and the days of the week can be directly moved to an accurate position for any given month. A similar set was manufactured under the "Sloan" label with a handle, but does not have the perpetual calendar.
