This Organette was a mechanical free-reed instrument first manufactured in the late 1870's by the Autophone Company of Ithaca NY,The Roller Organ "Organette" was produced by Henry B. Horton's Autophone Company of Ithaca, New York.Autophone had begun in business sometime before 1878, the year in which it apparently introduced its first product — the Autophone paper-strip organette.
