The front panel is light-grey Bakelite, the rear of the case is metal in earlier examples and grey plastic in later production. It is also possible (but not certain) that the design of the meter movement may have been changed some time after 1966. There are two typographical errors in the AVO Working Instructions on the parts list:- - It is titled "Mulitminor" and - switch position 12 should read 100 V a.c. (not 100 V d.c.)

I have recently aquired an AVO Multiminor Mk4 which may be a later version than the one illustrated. It has a different movement (not distinguishable without opening the meter), and the rear cover is plastic, not metal.  It's also in excellent cosmetic condition. Should this information be uploaded as a seperate entry as a possible later variant, or added as supplementary to the exising entry?  The latter would require  some detailed explanation.
