  • Notes
  • The Magnavox "Double-Six" (Model 66) is an energised 11-inch moving-coil loudspeaker introduced in July 1934 by The Benjamin Electric Ltd. at Brantwood Works, Tottenham, London N.17. Developed as a high-fidelity reproducer with a frequency range of 40 to 9,000 cps, it was designed to handle high power outputs (such as push-pull PP5-400 or D.O. 26 valves) while maintaining exceptional sensitivity—requiring as little as 2 watts input.

The Model 66 was supplied in three main electrical configurations:

    • D.C. Model "L": Low-voltage field winding for 100–150 V DC operation.
    • D.C. Model "H": High-voltage field winding for 160–260 V DC operation (field resistance options of 700  or 2,000 ).
    • A.C. Model: Operates from A.C. mains supply (any standard frequency); features a self-contained heavy-duty pot housing with an integrated Westinghouse metal rectifier and full LC smoothing filter circuit.

    Pricing & Model Options
