  • Notes
  • This TAR/61 instrument, automatic frequency response tracer is an audio frequency spectrum analyser to test amplifiers, filters, recorders, mocrophones, pick-ups, loudspeaker and transducers, and circuit elements generally.
It comprises a low distortion beat frequency oscillator covering the range 0 to 20,000 Hz.
The frequency is appplied to the device under test, and the return to the vertical deflexion system of a long-persistance cathode-ray system.
The horizontal sweep for the CRT is derived from the b.f.o sweep drive, producing a direct amplitude/frequency graph.
The oscilloscope is calibrated vertically in decibels and millivolts, and horizontally in frequency, and the trace persistence is sufficient long to permit direct comparison, thus making evident the result of any adjustment.

All particular characteristics are in the attached article.
