  A.C.  driven three-valve set with a band-pass input, one H.F. stage, and a screen-grid detector resistance coupled to a pentode giving 3 watts output to the moving-coil speaker. A choke filter output is used, and the speaker field serves as a smoothing choke. Volume control is obtained by variation of screen volts.
