Hi,

Recently i collected a London Bush EBS 24 set. The cabinet is in ver bad condition, needs to rebuild.

This has very peculiar band indicater in circular disk. Unfortunately the cord is broken and I need some guideance for restoring it, for dial cord and band indicator.

It's a variation of the Teleflic on some other Bush models. I suspect the EBS4 is mainly different in the scale and cabinet to your EBS24.

What valves/tubes does yours use?

From the SW45 notes

"The Bush Teleflic is mechanical logging device with a rotary optical readout, letters and numbers with a full sweep of the numbers for each letter. It is driven from the tuning mechanism. It was intended to make it easier to retune to specific stations. It has no electronics other than back light and it is not a "bandspread" mechanism nor any effect on selectivity. It is on at least the SW45, BA53, BA53 Export, EBS4, BA63 and PB53 models. The  Teleflic lamp is only on when Shortwave is selected."

I have the SW45 though I've not yet restored it.

Thank You So Much Sir,

I started the restoration. It uses 7 vales  - UF41, UCH42, UF41, UBC41, UM4 UL41 and UY41,

Probably once I restore Radio and Cabinet part, i will seek your advise on the dial cord part

Regadrs
