    Ein elektromedizinisches Gerät der 2.Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts zur sog. Galvanisation.

    Entgegen der Aufschrift ist das eingebaute Instrument kein Galvanometer, sondern ein Galvanoskop, bei dem eine Kompassnadel durch den Strom in einer Spule abgelenkt wird.

    Ein Galvanometer hingegen ist ein Drehspulmesswerk hoher Empfindlichkeit, meist mit Null in der Skalenmitte, wobei die Skala oft unkalibriert bleibt (z.B. zur Nullanzeige einer Messbrücke).

    Contrairement à l'inscription de l'instrument n'est pas construit un galvanomètre mais Galvanoscope dans lequel une aiguille d'une boussole est déviée par le courant dans une bobine.

    Un galvanomètre à bobine mobile de haute sensibilité, généralement avec zéro au milieu de l'échelle, à l'échelle non calibré reste souvent (par exemple à zéro l'affichage d'un pont).
