  • Bemerkung
  • The Clix Octal Valve Holder, introduced in 1938 by British Mechanical Productions, was a chassis-mounting type designed for American Octal base valves.

    Key features included:

    • Floating Spring Contacts: These allowed for easy valve insertion and provided anti-microphonic action.
    • Self-Cleaning Mechanism: The contacts maintained line pressure with the valve pins and were self-cleaning.
    • Low Losses: The metal parts only contacted the solid dielectric at widely separated rivets, minimizing losses.
    • Exclusive Availability: Initially, it was available solely to manufacturers.

Additionally, the company produced an Octal-valve top-cap connector made of a split ring with a black insulating material terminal, priced at 1½d.
