Shortwave radio transmitter, widely used in WWII aircraft in World War II. Air Force, after the war also widely used in civil aviation.
Operating modes CW (A1), MCW (A2), AM (A3), wave range 2 - 18 MHz, with additional oscillator LFO O-16 additionally 0.2 - 1.5 MHz, with the more modern O-17 0.2 - 0.6 MHz, electromechanical preselection of ten pre-programmed frequencies. Output power approx. 100 W.
Military (JAN) designation: AN/ART-13 or T-47/ART-13. The T-47/ART-13 designation may have been specifically for the Army Air Corps.
