Columbus 55R Corvette
5-valve dual wave superhet receiver with 8" EM speaker for the smaller home. Variants include the 55, 55A (1946), 55R, and 55S , which appear to use different tuning capacitors and slightly different dial layouts. The 55R is also noted in service literature as having different tone control circuitry (see schematics). The 55S appears to have newer and more compact coils.
Also available under the Courtenay brand.
