  • The Cuemaster 77 Mk IV, released in the mid-1970s, was a professional mono reel-to-reel recorder virtually identical to the Plessey 77 Mk IV, differing only in branding under CEI. It represented the final solid-state generation of the long-established 77 series, originally developed for broadcast cueing and rugged professional use. Built around a proven transport design, the Mk IV offered improved reliability, lower maintenance compared to its predecessors, and consistent tape handling, making it suitable for both studio and industrial recording applications.
