• Ganging oscillator.  Wavebands: 7.9-20MHz, 2.9-7.9 MHz, 1- 2.5 MHz, 350-990KHz, 40-350 KHz.  Output cw (fm with no input), am internal 400 Hz, am external, fm external (recommended 25 Hz) deviation up to +-25KHz.  400 Hz output also available.

  Beat frequency oscillator.  The 41MH is the fixed frequency oscillator, modulated.  The 41STM is the variable oscillator and mixer.  The MVSPEN is the reactor valve on fm, the audio oscillator on internal am, or the modulation amplifier on external am.

  The terminal marked X is for fm, modulation input, from an oscilloscope timebase output.  The oscilloscope Y input is connected to the reciever under test, from the if output or detector stage.  The oscilloscope then shows the reciever passband, with frequency as the X axis.
