  • Notes
  • The 1986 Croft Acoustics Micro pre-amplifier was an affordable valve unit noted for its high-standard, hardwired construction and audiophile-grade components. It offered a moving-magnet phono input (also suitable for high-output moving-coil cartridges) alongside CD, tuner, and tape inputs.
Sonically, it delivered a lively, dynamic, and transparent sound with well-focused stereo imaging and excellent bass. While treble was noted as "a little fuzzy," it remained unfatiguing. Electrically, it demonstrated textbook performance with low distortion, good signal-to-noise ratios, and commendably accurate RIAA equalisation.
