Notes

Short wave from 5.7 to 18.3 MHz - Broadcast from 540 to 1725 kHz. Model 589 is a battery table model with the band change switch mounted on the rear of the chassis. This model features 5 push buttons for station selection. It has the same schematic as the model B5589M.
The folder for battery radios 1939/40 shows the models B429A, B449A, B459A, B579A, B589A, B6579D and the console models B5579M and B5589M (but without the 439).
