A lot of these models were 'Home Modified', as there were so many skilled engineers in the trade at that time, this meant that within a year or two - say early '50's a lot of these sets were considerably different from their original spec. Also initially there were various specifications, and this lead to different looking units, only in details of course. The valves used varied, and at one time included KT66 output pairs, this was probably due to using what was available - mainly ex services, brand new of course.
