  • Notes
  • DeForest coils were manufactured by Coto-Coil (Providence, RI). Chief Engineer Gowen designed the Unit Receiver and the plug-in coils, but end of 1918 DeForest reclined that. In 1919 the business went down, and DeForest authorised Gowen to proceed with the developments. By order of DeForest Gowen contacted Thomas Giblin, President of Coto-Coil. Coto-Coil as well as Giblin both manufactured later coils under their own name. Giblin also built radios.
