  • A communications receiver mainly sold to the UK Ministry of Defence. It has provision for use with external power sources in the absence of mains supply. The set is a single conversion superheterodyne with an IF of 450kHz using 15 valves, and has two RF stages of amplification, two IF stages of amplification, stabilised HT for VFO and BFO, audio filter, crystal IF filter, crystal calibrator and a noise limiter. The set tunes from 480kHz
    to 30MHz in 5 bands :
