  • Forme
  • Modèle de table sans poussoirs, modèle cheminée
  • Remarques
  • BC (540-1620kHz) band. Built-in loop antenna. Same model with chassis 120100B also. The case of the model 616A was designed by Raymond Loewy, an important industrial designer of the 20th century, who had designed many iconic products and corporate logos. The model 616A was offered in either bakelite (different model number) or wood. The wood cased version was manufactured by the Ingraham Clock Company of Bristol, Connecticut, of book-matched american walnut with inlay. Ingraham was founded in the 1850's and became famous for their especially beautiful mantel clocks. Ingraham began manufacturing radio cases in the 1930's for several different radio manufacturers, but only Emerson specifically credited Ingraham (a small brass tag was affixed to the back of the radio that read "Genuine Ingraham"). Ingraham case radios were sold at a higher price than standard case radios.
