    The Federal Model 143 uses the same chassis as the Federal Model 141 in a larger console style cabinet with built-in horn speaker and battery storage compartment. 
     
    The chassis uses 5-UV01-A tubes, 2-RF, Detector, 2-AF.
     
    Circuit is regenerative (possibly not claimed so to avoid patent hassles)...
    Front panel control labelled AMPLIFICATION CONTROL is the regeneration control
    via RF amplifier grid bias adjustment. 
    3 internal rheostats are for RF, Detector & AF tube filament rheostats.
    2 big knobs on the front panel are for the antenna and interstage RF tuning capacitors.
