  • Notes
  • This model, like many Ferris models, could be used as a portable or, when slid into a special underdash cradle, a car radio. When used as a car radio, it is automatically connected to the car's power supply, speaker and aerial. The cradle contains a further stage of audio amplification.  This transistor type is not stated on the circuit, or listed in the cradle parts list, but is likely a 2N301 or similar.  Alternatives to the transistors listed could also be used. The case is of thick cast metal and is very heavy.  There is also a 12 volt variant.
