    Variac Model 200-CU (Baker)

    The, General Radio Company, developed a new unit in 1933, which was named the VARIAC. This VARIAC was manufactured in two different models; Model 200-CU (Baker) which is shown on this model page. The model 200-CU, was manufactured for mounting on a panel, thus it came without a shield, terminal plate, on-off switch and power cord. The Model 200-CM (Balmy) has a shield, terminal plate, on-off switch and power cord. Power loss, in these two units, is approximately 30 watts.
