Electrophone TX472S

The Electrophone TX472S is a mobile UHF CB transceiver covering the Australian 40‑channel FM band (476–477 MHz). It is part of the TX472 family introduced in the mid‑1980s and represents an improved variant of the original TX472 model. The TX472S is notable as one of GME’s first UHF CB sets to include memory channels, together with enhanced scanning functions compared with the earlier TX472.

The set is housed in a rugged metal chassis suitable for mobile installation in 4WD and transport vehicles. A front‑facing loudspeaker provides clear audio in cabin environments. The unit uses a detachable dynamic microphone and a 12 V DC power supply.
