• From the 1961 catalog supplement: "The circuit board and solderless connections make it a "snap." Included are transistor audio amplifier, germanium diode detector, earphone, all-metal cabinet, circuit board, screwdriver, and manual of instructions and operating principles. Safe for all ages with battery power. 2 lbs."

  The circuit contains 2 resistors, 1 mica capacitor, variable capacitor, coil with ferrite slug, germanium diode, an unlabeled PNP germanium transistor in a metal can, and a crystal earphone. All connections, including to components on the printed circuit board, are made with nuts, washers and bolts through the board. Uses a parallel L-C bandpass filter, tuned by the variable capacitor. Uses a 1.5 Volt "C" cell battery on the printed circuit board. Terminal block on outside of the back of the aluminum case has 4 screw terminals: earphone (2), Ground, Antenna.
