  • Notes
  • This HP Spectrum Analyzer System consists of the Display System 141T (Variable Persistance Display), the High Resolution IF Section 8552B and the plug-in 8554B (Spectrum Analyzer RF Section). It is part of Hewlett Packard's high performance plug-in spectrum analyzer family which allows frequency domain measurements from 20 Hz to 40 GHz.
    Some specifications of this combination:
Frequency range 100 kHz to 1250 MHz, flatness +/- 1 dB.
Resolution bandwidth: IF bandwidths of 0.1 to 100 kHz provided in a 1,3 sequence.
Dynamic range: Average noise level <-102 dBm with 10 kHz IF bandwidth
RF input impedance: 50 ohm, max. input level + 13 dBm (1.4 Vac peak).
    Scan time: 16 internal scan rates from 0.1 ms/div to 10 sec/div in a 1, 2, 5 sequence, and manual scan.
The HP 141T/8552B can also be equipped with the RF plug-ins 8553B (1 kHz to 110 MHz), 8556A (20 Hz to 300 kHz, has internal tracking generator), 8555A (10 MHz to 40 GHz). Also available: Tracking Generators for each frequency band, pre-amplifier 8447 series, matching transformer 3-500 MHz 11694A, external mixer 11517A, limiter 0.1-12.4 GHz 11693A, active probe 0.1-500 MHz 1121A. 1980 still in catalog listed.
