  • Model C4-8E is a 4-transistor mains-powered portable gramophone, incorporating a four-speed manually-operated record player. The tone-arm is fitted with a monaural crystal cartridge.

    The C4-8E has now been replaced by the C5-8E. The primary difference between the two models is the use of a ceramic stereo cartridge fitted to Model C5-8E.

    Due to to the lower output from the ceramic stereo as fitted to the Model C5-8E, it has been necessary to increase the amplifier gain of this model.
