    La sintonia agisce automaticamente, tramite un meccanismo elettromeccanico dotato di un motorino a molla caricato esternamente. Quando la radio riceve un segnale, scatta un relè e  blocca la rotazione del variabile. Arrivata a fondo scala la rotazione inverte il suo senso automaticamente.
