The back kick stand is marked Sony because the cabinet for the Home & Travel was supplied by Sony - then actually still Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo Ltd. but already having decided to become an international brand. You will see some similarity with Sony TR-6 - and it might be the only cabinet Sony made for other brands.

The set was about doubled the price for such and one of the earliest solar-powered radios - and with the then very expensive rechargeable batteries ($ 9 for apiece). See the sibling without solar panel for $ 76, the P410. Both Hoffman models came 1957 in 5 different colors - which were put in front of the actual model designation. The B-P411 radio appeared on the cover of Popular Science magazine in August 1957 - in black color.
