The Hy-Gain 623, also known as the "Utopia," is a vintage hybrid base station CB transceiver manufactured in the mid-1970s. It is highly regarded by enthusiasts for its "warm" audio quality and superior adjacent channel rejection.
As good as you'll get on the CB market! Operates 23 channels AM, 46 channels upper and lower single sideband. Features high-level AM plate modulation, crystal controlled VXO, built-in noise blanker, S/RF/SWR meter. Audio and RF gain controls for really exact power control, FIVE TURN fine tune control to "zero in" on signals. Hybrid circuit uses tubes where they work best, transistors where they work best for power and performance that won't
be beat. Base or mobile operation. With all crystals, cables.
