  •  The wide range frequency meter and generator type T.D.I. covers the range of DC to 3000MHz as a generator and 10kHz to 3000MHz as a frequency meter.

     The accuracy of the instrument is determined by a built-in 5MHz quartz crystal controlled frequency source using a pressurized contact thermostatically-controlled crystal oven (approx. ±75°C). Assuming a constant ambient temperature and that the crystal has
    been zeroed to a reference standard such as Droitwich, M.S.F. or W.W.V. an accuracy of 4 parts in 109 for the 37000 standard frequency outputs is achieved. Subject to the degree of temperature change, this accuracy will decrease but will always be better than 2 parts in 108.

      As an optional extra, a four digit in-line counter unit is available and this unit is internally installed in the equipment, when the interpolation oscillator dial is replaced by the counter presentation unit. Facilities for plugging in an external counter are also provided.  With the counter, the accuracy is equal to that of the crystal ±2NHz and with the interpolation dial it is equal to the accuracy of the crystal ±20NHz.
