    Die Werte für Horizontalauflösung (horizontal Resolution) und Störabstand (Signal to Noise Ratio) gelten für S-VHS, bei VHS sind es >240 Zeilen (lines) und >46dB.
    Für das Gerät gab es eine nachrüstbare Timecodeplatine. Mit einer weiteren Zusatzplatine ist ein direkter Anschluss an den "Dubbing" Anschluß eines U-Matic Rekorders möglich. Der nachrüstbare Timebasecorrector erweitert das Gerät zusätzlich um einen Component Ausgang.
    Der Rekorder kann Standard VHS Kassetten und die kleinen VHS-C Kassetten abspielen, ohne daß ein Adapter benötigt wird.
    Das Gehäuse ist für den Betrieb auf einem Tisch als auch für Rackmontage geeignet.
    Der Rekorder kann über eine RS422 Schnittstelle fernsteuern und ferngesteuert werden. So ist ein einfacher Schnittbetrieb ohne Schnittgerät möglich. Zusätzlich gab es zwei verschiedene Fernsteuerplatinen, eine mit einem 45 Pin JVC Anschluß, die andere mit einem Standard RS232 (9Pin) Anschluß.
