  • The 6D (not 6-D there) is listed in the Kolster Radio catalog 1927 for a price of $ 89.50 but this here is the older version with a slightly different cabinet (escutcheon). One dial (primary tuning control knob). Rider lists '01A tubes and a '17A alternative to the '12A. That are of course the abbreviated names used in the 1920s, although not official before ~1931. And the power tubes mentioned in Riders are not necessarily the original types, but reasonable replacements for service.

    By 1927 it could have a UX112A with half of the cathode current than the UX112, but not before.
