THIS new Lafayette amplifier is especially designed for installations where wide-range, high-quality performance, plus fairly high power output is required. Many distinctive circuit features incorporated in its construction make it an outstanding value. It is admirably suited for use in small theatres, dance halls, night clubs and restaurants, since it furnishes ample power to override the incidental room noises encountered in such installations. When used in conjunction with high-quality speakers and microphones, a truly high-fidelity public address system can be assembled. It is Lafayette custom-built throughout. 

The amplifier makes use of seven modern type high-gain tubes as follows: 2-75's as pre-amplifiers: 1-6A6 as mixer amplifier; 1-6A6 as phase inverter; 2-6B5's in a push-pull output stage; 1-83 rectifier. Power output into a 500-ohm line, with only 9% harmonic content, is 18 watts; hum level is -45 db below this output. The frequency response, as shown by the curve above, is within 2 db from 40 to 10,000 c.p.s.
