  • Annotazioni
  • The Lafayette "1932 Short Wave Converter" covers 15 to 180 meters. It was delivered for 110 volts, 50-60 cycles, for 220-230 volts 50-60 cycles (for $ 3.00 extra) and for 110 volts 25-40 cycles (for $ 5.00 extra). The tube 227 is the oscillator and the tube 224 the first detector. The tube 226 is used as power rectifier. The "Radio Collector's Guide 1921-1932" from Morgan E. McMahon shows on page 262/263 (for 1931/32) the model SW converter and we believe it is this one. It could as well indicate the earlier model with the same tube line up, the same cabinet - except the older one has a vernier dial and a range from 18 to 206 m (with 4 sets of two plug-in coils). See Lafayette Spring-Summer catalog 1931, page 17 or see details and summaries in the old catalog.

The 1932 SW Converter was sold in cabinet less tubes for $ 29.50 or with tubes for $ 32.15. See details or summaries about this catalog.
