    Lafayette engineers have done it again. A portable system for both 6-volt battery and 110-volt ac. operation without troublesome plug-in power packs. A complete system at the price of an incomplete one. You don't have to buy any additional power equipment for the New Lafayette model 32I-P because it is complete for operation on both types of power supply in its original form-- and does more things and does them better than any other similar unit.

    An outstanding feature of the new Lafayette model 321-P is the speed and simplicity with which the system can be disconnected from the car and reconnected to the 110 volt 60 cycle a.c. power line. A simple cable consisting of a plug and two heavy rubber covered leads is furnished for permanent connection to the storage battery in the car. Another cable with an ordinary house type plug is provided for connection to the ac. outlet. Changeover from the car to indoor operation merely consists of pulling out the battery cable plug instead—a matter of five seconds time. The changeover operation is complete—both amplifier and phonomotor are instantly converted for either type of current operation. The tremendous advantage of this feature is obvious to the sound dealer and technician. It is invaluable in political rallies where speeches are made outdoors from a car or truck and then the crowd brought indoors for a continuation of the rally. Still another use is the special sale announcing truck which is customarily rented from the P.A. agency for a short period of time. All in all, it is a sure-fire money-maker.
