  • The catalog 1930 for season 1929/30 names this 8 tube chassis "Lafayette Trio Screen-Grid". It features 3 screen grid tubes, most probably type 224, two unknown tubes, probably 227, 2 tubes 245 for push-pull, probably 280 rectifier and a dynamic speaker. "Wholesale Radio Cervice Co. Inc." writes: "Lafayette has designed, developed and produced, with its own research and engineering resources, a radio new in design, new in appereance, new in every detail and unit that goes into its construction. It is, we believe, years ahead of any competitive radio set ...". Three knobs, illuminated drum scale. The same chassis is used for Lafayette Trio Screen-Grid Receiver models 210, 285, 218, 200, 260 and Phonograph Combination.
